For the first time since LeSean McCoy was traded, the Eagles have a dynamic backfield heading into training camp with young and experienced bruisers, efficient pass blockers, and pass catchers out of the backfield with Jay Ajayi, Corey Clement, and Darren Sproles manning the position for 2018.

Who will lead the position in carries and touches? What will Darren Sproles’s role be in his final NFL season? In the four-man race for the fourth and likely final RB spot will Matt Jones, Wendell Smallwood, Josh Adams, or Donnel Pumphrey come out on top?

All that and more on another installment of the Locked on Eagles podcast “Positional Preview” edition!

Louie, an Eagles, and NFL enthusiast all his life has finally found his home to share his thousands of takes on the Philadelphia Eagles with Locked on Eagles. Louie also works in Buffalo sports radio as a writer, host, and producer for WGR Sports Radio 550 the official home of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. He may be far from the nest, but Louie bleeds green just like the rest of Eagles Nation. Fly Eagles Fly.
